Murcia
As well as golf, the region of Murcia offers you a huge amount, whether you want sightseeing or just relaxation.
The City of Murcia itself, less than 25km from La Tercia, has history dating back over 1200 years, and one of the most famous sights is the Cathedral de Santa Maria, built in the 15th century. With an abundance of shops, markets, bars and restaurants, Murcia is an ideal place for a day out, or for relaxing after a day on the golf course.
The coast is about fifteen minutes from La Tercia. The Costa Calida ("the warm coast") has everything - impressive cliffs, heavenly beaches of endless white sand, lively ports and wild coves with crystal clear water. It has more than 3,000 hours of sun a year and mild temperatures - even in winter - with a yearly average of more than 18ºC. It is the ideal place to spend some days relaxing both in winter and summer. The coastline is dotted with picturesque fishing villages, ports and unique deserted coves, while fans of water sports will discover a wealth of activities, including sailing, canoeing, water-skiing, jet-skiing, windsurfing, deep sea-diving, cave diving and other nautical activities.
The resort of La Tercia is situated just 15 miles from San Javier airport (Murcia), and 64 miles from El Altet (Alicante).
It is reached via the C3319, near Belsicas.
From San Javier airport, follow the main road straight on at the 1st roundabout. At the 2nd roundabout take the 2nd exit, for Alicante. Continue along the AP-7 for a few kilometres, taking exit 782 onto the C-3319, towards Murcia & Balsicas. After about 10 minutes, take the exit for Balsicas|Roldan. At the roundabout take 2nd exit, for Gea y Truyols. At the next roundabout, take the 2nd exit. Soon after this, take the next available right turn, following signs to United Golf Resorts.
From El Altet airport, follow signs for the E-15/A-7 Murcia and join the motorway in the direction of Murcia. After going past Murcia city, you will join up with the A-30. Take exit 411, for the C-3319, to Balsicas|San Javier|Aeropuerto. After about 10 minutes on the C-3319, take the exit for Balsicas. At the 1st roundabout take the 4th exit for Balsicas on the F-12. Cross the bridge over the motorway and at next roundabout take 3rd exit for Gea y Truyols. At the next small roundabout, take the 2nd exit. Shortly after this take the next available right turn, following signs to United Golf Resorts.
